Yesterday we got the call from our agency that China has reveiwed our file and approved us to adopt Cooper! Yeah! It's one step closer...now we wait for a letter that we sign stating we absolutely want him to be in our family (and of course, we do!) Then they will give us permission to travel.
By the way, I learned of this phone call at 5 am this morning when Doug woke me up with an elbow and a "Stephanie, we got a phone call yesterday. I forgot to tell you. We've been approved to adopt Cooper". Oh, you mean the phone call we've been waiting for for WEEKS and that I hold my breath for EVERY DAY? That's the phone call you forgot to tell me about?

Precious Little Boy

This is our son. His name is Hua, Junliang and he lives in an orphanage in the city of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, PRC. He will be 1 on December 28th and we think he's gorgeous. (Grace thinks she wants to poke him in the eye).
We will name him Cooper Thomas (Thomas after Stephanie's dad). Cooper has a congenital heart defect that involves at least one of his valves. We'll have to wait till he's home to know more about his condition.
There have been a couple of wonderful families who have travelled recently to adopt their children from Cooper's orphanage and have sent us much coveted pictures. Here he is on Thanksgiving Day. How about those cheeks?
