Day 6 post op and still in Wenckebach...they think.

Which means there are no plans to go anywhere anytime soon. They are still unclear whether he is in Wenckebach or the other kind of stage 2 heart block. (Sometimes he's in normal sinus rhythm, but not always.) Wenckebach is less likely to progress to complete heart block than the other one.

I've asked them to consider a medical transport to Phoenix Children's Hospital where it would be much easier for Doug and I to both work and be with the girls. Stanford is the best place in the world and we needed to be here for the valve repair, but I'm not sure we need to be in the best place in the world to watch his rhythm and potentially install a pacemaker. This process could go on for another 2 weeks. If we watch it for 14 days total then still need to install the pacemaker we're talking about another week to 2 weeks from tomorrow.

They will staff with the electrician in charge of his case tomorrow as well as Dr. Stock in Phoenix. In the meantime...

This is a puppet Cooper made in the craft room yesterday.
Mr. S and Cooper studied together at Stanford in San Francisco
